Shamayim, the word for sky in Hebrew, consists of two compounds– Sham, which translates to 'there', and Maim, which means 'water'. The project draws inspiration from this unique relationship, and explores the horizon as the space where the two compounds engage with one another and create a new meaning. The project was addressed from two different perspectives: A small series of vases, with each object showing a different interpretation of the horizon, as well as a set of practical objects for serving and drinking water.
The perspectives exhibited in the series seek to explore the depth of the color blue and result in a broad range of shades, varying from the darkness of the deep sea to the azure of the sky.
